Wild Thing is such a playful pose and a great heart opener / backbend!

Start in Downward-Facing Dog, then shift forward into High Plank Pose.  Bring your weight into your right hand keeping your right shoulder stacked on top of the wrist for stability and roll onto the outer edge of your right foot as if you are going to Side Plank Pose.

Instead though, step your left foot behind your right knee and use the leverage of it to press your hips up and curl your upper back, creating a back bend.  (right leg is straight, left knee is bent.)

Reach your left hand away from your right foot and follow your hand with your gaze.

Hold for a few breaths, then return to Down Dog and repeat on the other side.

The Sanskrit name for the pose is Camatkarasana.
