Karen was introduced to yoga 7 years ago while pregnant with her first son, and she was immediately hooked! The practice of yoga allowed her to not only remain active during a difficult pregnancy, but also to get in tune with her body and relieve stress during that time.
After the birth of her baby, Karen continued her practice by exploring various styles of yoga and by embracing all the physical, spiritual and emotional benefits that yoga has to offer. As a former school teacher, she felt that transitioning to teaching yoga was a natural step in the right direction. She earned her 200 hour yoga teacher certification from The Soul of Yoga Institute in Encinitas and continued her yoga education with an extra 25 hour prenatal teacher training.
She believes that everyone can benefit from the practice of yoga, and she hopes to share her love, joy, and passion for the practice through her teaching.
