FLOW (OR VINYASA) YOGA...

synchronizes movement to the breath. The term “flow” is used because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath is an important component because the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. Ideally, students move to the apex of the poses slowly and fluidly, and fully explore transitions.  Expect these classes to offer a balance of strength, flexibility, and endurance to challenge body and mind.

 

Soul Flow 1:  A vinyasa class offered at a pace suitable to honor all student levels.  For all classes: modify at any time, drink water and come into a resting posture when needed.

Soul Flow 1.5:  A bump up from your Level 1 experience.

Soul Flow 2:  An intermediate vinyasa flow class. Inversions and arm balances may be introduced.  

Soul Flow 2/3: A strong vinyasa class for intermediate and advanced students that will offer an inversion or arm balance.

Soul Flow All Levels: An all levels vinyasa flow class.  Come one, come all!

Flow + Deep Stretch + Sound: A 30 minute flow, then 15 minutes of deep stretching, and a sound healing finish. It's delightful!

 

HIGH INTENSITY

Yoga Sculpt: The perfect compliment to your yoga practice. Sculpt is a blend of low impact cardio, strength building using light weights, and yoga. This is a high intensity, full body, 45 minute workout. Get stronger and burn calories.

NON-ASSERTIVE / RESTFUL...

 led with a healing lens.  

Restore: Entirely passive and massively rewarding, Restorative Yoga utilizes long holds and gravity instead of muscle engagement.  Most poses will use the support of props such as pillows, blankets and blocks to provide comfort for the 3-5 minutes you'll spend in each pose. Practicing restorative yoga is a great way to relax your body and release stress.  You will not believe how well you sleep after class.  All levels welcome. 

Restore + Yoga Nidra: Yoga Nidra has been referred to as dynamic sleep, psychic sleep, or deep relaxation with inner awareness. This experiential process prompts the body to relax while the mind remains awake and aware. In this state between being awake and being asleep, we are able to access and deactivate default programming that keeps us stuck in unhealthy ways of perceiving and engaging with the world around us. One (1) hour of yoga nidra equals approximately four (4) hours of deep sleep!

NOTE:  

Before and after class, SoulShine's studio space is not a quiet space.  Our community is so strong, students want to connect with each other and talk, so we allow for this.  Certain classes tend to be a lot quieter before and after, like the RESTORE classes... so if you need quiet, try those.  There is of course, no talking during class.  Come on in!
